Welcome!!! This month the question was asked:
"Show your face! I love to know the artist behind the work. Show us a picture of yourself and talk about your work, life...whatever. Interview yourself if you like."
Well, I have not always been one to want to show pictures of myself or talk a lot about myself but...here we go!
I grew up in a family where grandparents, aunt, uncles, and cousins were a daily part of life. We spent the days playing and getting dirty. Yep, getting dirty, even though I am 100% girl I have always preferred
playing with the boys. I think boys have more fun! Yes I played with my Barbies, and dolls but I also had my trucks, cars, and love doing fun and exciting things.
My artistic and girly side comes from my grandmothers and mom, they were always making things. I learned to sew, quilt, knit, crochet, cut, paste, paint, and glue from them. There were always craft shows, quilting circles, and fairs to attend.
I am also a musician, I play the flute and have been part of several orchestras and bands throughout my life. I still love to play any chance I get! I am working on learning to play a handmade bamboo flute!
Another love of mine which encompasses all aspects of me is my love of SciFi and Fantasy! I am a member of the 501st Storm Troopers, TK3901 is my Id, I am also a member of the Rebel Legion and the R2 Builders. We make our costumes, R2 units, and spend time trooping for charity! Putting on costumes and interacting with kids both big and small is so much fun and worth every minute of time put into it!
And finally, my family, I have been married 27 years to my best friend, we have two sons and two adorable grandsons. Life has been good and the good Lord watches over us each day!
On to the pictures!
